Armed robbery at Heywood off licence

Two men armed with a shotgun and a knife stole cash from the KG off licence on Miller Street, Heywood, on Sunday (21 November).

At around 1.10pm yesterday afternoon (21 November) two unknown males entered the 'KG' off license on Miller Street armed with a shotgun and knife.

They then proceeded to demand cash from a shop employee who handed money over to them before the offenders fled the shop. No one was injured in the incident.

Detective Sergeant Tim O'Callaghan, of Rochdale CID, said: "This was a terrifying incident for the shop worker and we are following a number of lines of enquiry to try and locate these offenders.

"Anyone with information, or anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the offenders entering/leaving the shop, is asked to contact Rochdale CID on 0161 856 4668 quoting log 1520 of 21 November 2021.

"Alternativley, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
