Littleborough teens complete 24-hour game marathon to raise money for Macmillan

Date published: 15 November 2021

Littleborough teenagers have recently completed a 24-hour gaming marathon to raise funds for people living with cancer.

Louie Pitchforth, Charles Crooks, John O'Brien, Ethan Stead and George Wharton played games continuously from 12 noon on 28 October until 12 noon on 29 October.

The five friends, who attend Rochdale Sixth Form College, played a variety of games including Overwatch, Phasmophobia, 7 Days To Die, Diablo and Minecraft with their effort being streamed live over Twitch.

They didn't think they'd raise more than a hundred pounds but their total is currently almost £500.

They were understandably shattered at the end of the marathon and spent the Halloween weekend catching up on their sleep.

Donations can be made via the Macmillan site.
