Children’s Halloween party at PAG UK Hub

Date published: 04 November 2021

Children of all ages dressed in their spookiest costumes for a Halloween party at the Parents Against Grooming UK Hub – AKA PAG UK – on Yorkshire Street, Rochdale, on Sunday (31 October).

Scores of children, accompanied by adults, had tons of fun, playing games like apple bobbing and a race to munch doughnuts suspended from the ceiling, as well as creating some spooky crafts and enjoying appropriately themed refreshments.

Prize hampers full of goodies were on offer for the best dressed boy and girl – and no child left empty-handed, as a goody bag was given to each one with participation prizes for dressing up.

William Howarth, founder of Parents Against Grooming UK, said: “Our Halloween party was a great success with good, safe, enjoyable fun.

“It was nice to see their smiles return.”

The Parents Against Grooming UK (PAG UK) volunteer group work to give survivors of child sexual abuse a voice, providing counselling referral, drug and alcohol help, suicide awareness, internet awareness and homelessness awareness, as well as peer-to-peer sessions for male and female survivors of abuse and sexual assault.
