Brassic cast and crew return to Rochdale for filming

Date published: 02 November 2021

Cast and crew from the Sky show ‘Brassic’ returned to Rochdale on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 October as filming took place in a house on Thrush Street.

A comedy drama about a group of Lancashire working-class friends starring actor Joseph Gilgun and former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan, this isn’t the first time the production team have chosen to film locally.

Thrush Street, off Rooley Moor Road, was closed for two days whilst cast and crew were on set.

Ian Hines, owner of the house where filming recently took place, said: “The cast and crew were brilliant.

“Filming [took place] inside the house with Vinnie [actor Joseph Gilgun] and gang, where they removed the furniture fixtures and fittings and replaced them with their props.

“All in all, great gang. But this is ultimately great for Rochdale; fantastic programme and very thankful they use sets within the north west rather than [in a] studio.”

A representative for Sky said: “The production is now filming series 4. It’s using various locations across Lancashire and around the Manchester area. I can confirm the location of Rochdale was used. Unfortunately, I can’t reveal what scenes were being filmed.

“We are keeping the story under wraps so there are no spoilers for fans when they come to watch. The new series will broadcast in 2022.

“Currently series 3 is being broadcast on Sky Max channel and streaming service NOW. It’s on every Wednesday at 10pm. The whole series is currently available to view on Sky demand also.”
