Man in critical condition after falling from bridge

A man is in a critical condition after falling from Queen's Park Bridge in Heywood on Sunday morning (31 October). 

Police were called over concerns for the welfare of a man at around 7.30am.

Officers attended to engage with the man but he fell from the bridge a short time later.

A spokesperson for the police said: "Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a critical condition."

Enquiries are ongoing.
