Man charged after woman attacked with knife and hammer in Middleton

A man has been charged after a woman was attacked with a knife and hammer in Middleton this weekend.
Police attended the incident on Tintern Road where they subsequently arrested the man.
The woman’s injuries 'were not serious', police said.
Officers from Greater Manchester Police Middleton said: “Officers from our CID team have worked tirelessly into the very early hours to get the male charged with a number of offences and remanded for court.”
The man has not been named, nor the time or date of incident given.
