Springhill Hospice celebrates with summer garden celebration

Date published: 18 August 2021

Springhill Hospice opened its gates and welcomed back supporters to its annual summer garden celebration on Sunday 8 August. This is the first fundraising event Springhill has been able to host since 2019, due to Covid restrictions.

Poor weather did not dampen the spirits as volunteers, colleagues, families and friends alike joined Springhill Hospice in its award winning gardens.

Over 15 stalls set up in the hospice gardens providing a vast selection of goods to treat themselves to. Dolly P’s Burger Van and Saddle and Sips Bar were just a few of the fabulous stalls that joined Springhill for the summer garden celebration.

Supporters of Springhill’s Sunflower Appeal were able to collect their personalised sunflower plaques from the beautiful collection station in the hospice gardens. Theses personalised sunflower plaques dedicated to a loved one will act as a reminder of happy memories bring sunshine into supporter’s homes.

Springhill’s summer garden celebration is the first of many events the hospice hopes to bring back as restrictions on social distancing have eased. Returning events such as Springhill’s Annual Golf day on Friday 3 September 2021 and newly introduced events such as the firewalk on Saturday 10 October 2021 and the Walk to Remember challenge on Saturday 18 September are just a few of the many exciting fundraising events Springhill Hospice hope to run this year.
