Cardinal Langley A-level results 2021

Students at Cardinal Langley Sixth Form have excelled at A-level and vocational courses with the vast majority of students now moving on to their first choice of university.

This year, following the cancellation of exams, grades were awarded through a process of centre assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards.

Mr Bridson, headteacher, said, “We are privileged to have worked with each one of our students during their time here at Cardinal Langley; their brilliant outcomes reflect their commitment and determination. Many have exceeded their expectations and they are now looking forward to their next steps, either at university or starting apprenticeships.

“Staff have worked tirelessly to prepare students for these qualifications. The past year has been extremely unsettling for students, as well as teachers, but the quality of work our students produce continues to amaze us and we are delighted with their efforts.”

All students have their own success stories, particularly Daniel who achieved four A* grades. He said, “I am really pleased with my results, especially chemistry, but I don’t think it has sunk in yet.” Daniel will be going to The University of Manchester to study physics.

Agnieszka achieved three A*s as well as an A grade and is off to study Law at The University of Liverpool. Agnieszka was delighted with her results is looking forward to celebrating her success with her family.

Fraser achieved three A*s as well as an A grade. He was very pleased with his results and is looking forward to studying maths at University College London.

Jude achieved three A grades and a B and is now looking forward to studying criminology at The University of Manchester.

Bryanna achieved two A*s and an A and is looking forward to studying geography at The University of Leeds. Bryanna was thrilled with her results and is particularly happy with Leeds as her next step due to the beautiful buildings on campus.

Terence achieved an A* and four A grades and is looking forward to studying medicine at Lancaster. Emma achieved two A*s and an A grade and will be studying PPE (philosophy, politics and economics) at Manchester.

James was extremely happy having achieved four grade As. He very humbly said he was ‘keeping his results in his back pocket for now’ as he hopes to work secure a position as an aircraft technician with the Royal Air Force.

Mia was delighted with her results: she achieved three A grades and a B and is off to study criminology at Manchester.

Nathan, having achieved two A*s, an A and a Distinction*, is delighted to be going to The University of Manchester to study law and Alicia will be studying medicine at Birmingham having achieved an A*, an A and two B grades.

Performance data for schools and colleges is not being published by the government this year due to the varying impact of the pandemic.
