Groundwork Landscapes help spruce up Kirkholt

Date published: 02 July 2021

Groundwork Landscapes have spruced up a number of sites across Kirkholt after being contracted by Rochdale Boroughwide Housing to deliver environmental improvements.

Groundwork has laid new flags in the community space at Q Gardens, turning a previously disused area into the new home of the Q Gardens chickens.

The team have donated and planted new trees at the junction of Hill Top Drive and Ruskin Road and will build new planters in the gardens at the Strand Hub.

Aine Graven, RBH Social Value Co-ordinator, said: "A big thank you to Groundwork Landscapes who have shown great support to the local community in Kirkholt. Through partnerships with our suppliers and contractors, we can create significant additional benefits for residents in our communities."

Marc Richardson, Health and Safety Manager for Groundwork Landscapes Ltd, said: "It's been great to be able to work with RBH on behalf of the residents of Kirkholt, and we're really proud that we've been able to give something back to the community through these projects"
