Fancy dress posties raise £1,700 for MIND

Date published: 21 May 2021

Rochdale’s posties raised around £1,700 for charity after delivering their rounds in fancy dress.

Over 50 postmen and women donned costumes on Saturday (15 May) to raise funds for mental health charity MIND.

Organised by the 'Rochdale Charity Posties' group, the day took place during Mental Health Awareness Week (10-16 May) in memory of much-loved colleagues Jonny Clarke and Ste King.

Postal workers marked the day with a variety of outfits ranging from a purple Tyrannosaurus rex and a unicorn to Where’s Wally and Jesus to a postbox, Spiderman and a Roman Centurian.
