Lib Dems call for Murphy “to quit”

Lib Dems are calling for under fire Councillor, David Murphy to resign from the Council. They are accusing Labour of covering up his “move to Spain”.
Commenting, Councillor Wera Hobhouse said: “It is clear that Labour simply do not have a clue where Councillor Murphy resides or they are simply covering this whole thing up. This is relevant to the by-election in that people have a right to know the truth about Councillors in Middleton as a whole. I put it to the Labour Party that Councillor Murphy should resign as a Councillor. It is clear that he is not earning the £10,000 plus he is paid to do his job.”
Labour are still refusing to comment on the story. Lib Dems are calling for them to come clean.
