New traineeship programme for 19-24 with Dale Community Trust
Date published: 07 May 2021
Aimed at 19-24 year olds, the course delivers formal English and maths qualifications, employability support and an additional industry specific qualification
A new traineeship programme for 12 young adults is being delivered at Rochdale AFC Community Trust through the Dale Works employability programme.
The football club’s official charity launched ‘Dale Works’ in January – an employability programme which, through a range of different offers, is helping to get people into jobs, education or training.
The ‘Dale Works’ courses, funded by the European Social Fund, are ideal for those who are wanting to embark on their first experience of work or for those who are thinking of returning to work, education or further training, but primarily want to develop their vocationally focused skills.
The success to date has led to the programme being expanded into the second half of 2021.
Delivered in partnership with the EFL Trust, the traineeship programme will be delivered in the Crown Oil Arena’s study centre from next week (starting 10 May).
Aimed at 19-24 year olds, the course delivers formal English and maths qualifications, employability support and an additional industry specific qualification.
All learners will shadow full-time trust staff for 70 hours, giving hands on experience in the Sports & Leisure industry.
