Easter dinner day at Brentwood

Date published: 15 April 2021

Brentwood Middleton Day Centre provided over 30 roast dinners for those in need earlier this month.

The homeless and those struggling to make ends meet were treated to a hot roast chicken dinner, accompanied by Yorkshire puddings, mashed and roasted potatoes, stuffing and mixed vegetables before being finished with gravy.

The centre also gave out a coconut cake dessert, plus Easter eggs and a card to those that turned up for dinner.

Brentwood is also providing breakfast between 9-10am on weekdays, plus hot dinner between noon and 12.45pm on weekdays - all free of charge to the disadvantaged and needy.

Brentwood, the only service of its kind in the Middleton area, opened in May 1989 as a direct result of the work of the Middleton Working Party on Homelessness, a group set up to investigate the problem of homelessness within the Middleton and surrounding areas.

It provides support to homeless and vulnerable members of the Middleton community.
