Bury and Blackley men charged with drug and firearm offences

A Bury man and a Blackley man have been charged with a range of drug and firearm offences after yesterday’s raids in Heywood, Hollins (Bury) and Blackley.

Nathan Loftus, 37, of Bury, has been charged with:

  • one count of conspiring to import a class B controlled drug
  • two counts of conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug
  • conspiring to supply a class B controlled drug
  • participating in the criminal activities of an organised crime group
  • concealing criminal property
  • conspiring to sell/transfer a prohibited weapon/ammunition
  • selling/transferring a prohibited weapon/ammunition

Sean Doyle, 29, of Blackley, has been charged with possession of criminal property, two counts of conspiring to supply a class A controlled drug and conspiring to supply a class B controlled drug.

Both men have been remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 12 March).

At around 6am on Thursday 11 March officers executed warrants in Heywood, Hollins (Bury) and Blackley as part of Operation Foam. A large quantity of cash and other property were seized and two men arrested.
