Fire tore through a house on Agincourt Street in Heywood on Christmas Day.
The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it had eight pumps and specialist appliances on scene as of 10.30pm on 25 December.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Just after 9pm on Friday 25 December eight fire engines, the Technical Response Unit from Ashton, and one hose-laying lorry were called to reports of a building fire at Agincourt Street, Heywood.
“The fire involved the kitchen, first floor and roof space of a terraced property. Crews arrived quickly and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus worked hard to extinguish the blaze using three hose reels, two ladders, a smoke curtain and a thermal imaging camera.
“Fire crews were at the scene until around 11.20am the following day.”
