170 cannabis plants discovered in police raid

Police officers found a sophisticated cannabis farm at a business premises on Cheetham Street in Rochdale on Saturday 19 December.

When police executed a warrant at the property they discovered 170 plants at various stages of maturity, with an estimated street value of £136,000.

GMP Rochdale said that an investigation is ongoing and asked if anyone has any information relating to this discovery or has any suspicions about cannabis plants being grown in their neighbourhood, please report this to the police.

Information can be passed on anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
