Christmas message from Rochdale MP, Tony Lloyd

Date published: 23 December 2020

A Christmas message from Tony Lloyd, MP for Rochdale.

"No one could pretend that we’ve had a year like this before in any of our lifetimes. Covid as a disease has ravaged families, and the precautions around Covid have significantly changed the way we live our lives. For all of us, getting through this year has been a tough call.

"I’m very conscious of the sacrifices individuals, families, and those who keep our society moving in public services have made, from our NHS, our schools and education services, our police, our local council and many more. And let us not forget the great efforts made by the private sectors to keep our economy going throughout this crisis.

"So this year in all years, let me wish everyone a very happy and peaceful Christmas, and for next year of all years, let me wish you a better new year for 2021."
