Magical Middleton Christmas show to be streamed on 20 December

Middleton's first virtual Christmas show will be live streamed from 5pm on Sunday (20 December).

The show features some local young talent from Fairstage Academy, a performing arts school based in the centre of Middleton, some professional singers, magician, puppet shows, a comedy routine from the students of Hopwood Hall, and a story and special message from Santa for all the children of Middleton.

Victoria Davies, Middleton town centre manager, said: “As we couldn't do our usual Christmas lights switch on event, we wanted to give the people especially the children of Middleton some Christmassy entertainment in a safe and secure way and this is what developed. So it's our first online virtual Christmas Show.

“As well as it going live on Sunday 20 December at 5pm we intend to re-stream it again on Christmas Eve and we hope that lots of people tune in from the comfort and safety of their own home for some Christmas magic.”
