Investigation launched after gunshots fired in Heywood

A police investigation has been launched after gunshots were fired in Heywood on Saturday afternoon (17 October).
Police were called to Bury Old Road in the Heap Bridge area at 3pm, and said they found “evidence consistent with a potential firearms discharge.”
No-one was injured, no arrests have currently been made and enquiries are ongoing.
