The fun day at Biggy's Barbers raised over £1,000
A youth fun day at a Rochdale barber’s salon has raised over £1,000 towards a well for those less fortunate in Pakistan.
Hundreds attended the All4Youth fun day at Biggy’s Barbers, Ashfield Road, on Sunday (8 September) which saw live music, charity haircuts, a barbecue and also a ride on a buggy.
The money will be hand delivered by barber Waqas Sultan in the next three weeks when he will be travelling to Pakistan, after seeing the conditions there first-hand.
The day was made by possible by All4Youth volunteers: Minaam Ellahi, Abbas Khan, Haseeb Shahid, Hamid Amjad, Haashim Khan, VJ Singh and Mohammed Usman.
All4Youth founder Hassan Ali, 21, said: “This organisation will be a platform for the youth. Being 21 myself, it can be difficult but my message to everyone is never lose hope.
“Peace, love and unity are imperative to seek a better tomorrow for the youth of today."
Based in Rochdale, All4Youth aims to take youths off the streets and into a place of safety. The organisation also provides support and guidance to those suffering from mental health issues, drug/alcohol addiction, bullying, depression, anxiety, and more.
Despite being called ‘All4Youth’, the organisation also raises awareness of what older generations should look out for and how they can support the younger generation.
The organisation believes that, despite their differences, everyone must unite and work together to create a caring and supportive future for youths.
