Stolen dumper truck leaves wake of destruction on joyride

The truck was recovered on New Street, Rochdale
Thieves who stole a dumper truck in Whitworth left a trail of destruction in their wake after taking it for a joyride.
The truck was taken from Cowm Park Way at around 6.30am on Saturday 31 August, and was later found on New Street in Rochdale, where it was recovered by police.
A spokesperson for Rossendale police said: “Following reports of a dumper truck travelling through Whitworth causing damage, officers quickly got to the scene and tracked the dumper to just over the border into Rochdale.”
