Students at Middleton Technology School celebrated top results in their GCSE’s on Thursday (22 August).
Janine Kellett, Headteacher, said: “Robert Clarke was our top performing student, achieving an incredible six grade 9s, and three grade 8s – truly exceptional results! There are a number of our students who have secured the very top grades.”
She continued: “We are also delighted that some of our students have made exceptional progress during their time with us, reaping the rewards for five years’ worth of hard work. We are particularly pleased with our results in Art, Engineering and Physical Education – these will be amongst the best results nationally.
“It has been a great day watching our students open their results and be so justifiably proud of what they have achieved.
“We wish all of our year 11s all the best for the future.”
The bottom of a grade 7 is comparable to the bottom of the old grade A, whilst the bottom of a new grade 4 is comparable to the bottom of the old grade C. Grade 9 is the equivalent of above an A*.
