Harvest festival at Bamford Academy

Date published: 19 October 2018

Children at Bamford Academy have collected over a quarter of a tonne of food for this year’s harvest celebrations.

The school hosts a harvest collection every year for the Rochdale Foodbank, which will benefit once again from the families’ generosity.

This year, Petrus has also been named as a beneficiary, with proceeds from Friday’s non-uniform day being donated to the cause.

A special harvest assembly on Friday (19 October) saw the children visited by Imam Khan from Neeli Mosque, Reverend Richard Bradley, Wendy Fell from Rochdale Foodbank, and Rob Rowe and Liz Varey from Petrus.

Unit 2 collected the largest quantity, receiving a prize of sweets for their hard work.
