Castleton Health and Leisure Centre aiming to raise £5,000 towards inflatable obstacle course

Date published: 06 February 2018

Castleton Health and Leisure Centre is aiming to raise £5,000 towards an inflatable obstacle course.

A representative for the swimming pool said: “We would really like to raise enough money to buy an inflatable obstacle course. It will enhance our fun sessions at weekends and during school holidays.

“The first thing people ask when enquiring about a pool party is 'do you have an inflatable?' and often it is the deciding factor of making a booking or not. So being able to offer this as an extra will help to bring in more income making the facility more sustainable.”

The pool was officially opened on 5 February by Mayor Ian Duckworth - the culmination of a regeneration project that saved the pool from closure.

A rescue package was secured, and through a community asset transfer, Crewe Industrial restored the baths on Manchester Road to their former glory.
