Two men charged with attempted murder following an axe attack

Two men have been charged with attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm following an axe attack on Church Road.
Mohammed Sajid (21/02/1996), of Kings Road, and Habibur Rahmen (19/08/1992), of Milnrow Road, Rochdale have both been charged with attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm.
Rahmen has also been charged with a section 4 racially aggravated public order and section 47 assault.
They have both been remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Friday 16 February.
On Tuesday 17 October 2017 a man suffered serious hand injuries after he was struck with an axe on Church Road.

GMP officers executed warrants at 11 addresses on Thursday 18 January 2018 as part of the investigation and 11 men and one woman were arrested.
