A fundraising appeal has been launched by her friends to raise money for Mrs Merriman’s three sons, with a fundraising event to take place at Koko’s on Packer Street on 3 December.
Touching tributes have since been left on the fundraising page.

Following further enquiries by the GMP Major Incident Team and local officers, a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The man had been found with serious injuries sustained prior to police attendance and was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains under arrest.
An inquest into Mrs Merriman’s death is yet to be opened.
