The RBH team with Thistleyfield residents
Residents at the Thistleyfield independent living scheme in Milnrow can look forward to summer in a spruced up garden.
The Rochdale Boroughwide Housing asset management team arrived en masse at Thistleyfield for their team volunteering day weeding, tidying and installing new planters and hanging baskets.
Norma Butterworth and Elaine Tyler, Thistleyfield residents, said: "We are very pleased and extremely grateful to the RBH team – they have done a marvellous job.”
Rachel Saunders, RBH activity co-ordinator, said: “Residents are overwhelmed by the improvements to the garden and the grounds.
"Thank you to all the asset management team and to June Jones the scheme assistant who has worked hard on the garden over many years.”
The scheme received funding from Ambition for Aging for the hanging baskets and from the Tesco community fund for planters and other improvements, which were provided by local garden firm Garden Ornaments.
