25-year-old Middleton man given ASBO
Date published: 09 April 2006
A 25-year-old man from Middleton has been given an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) banning him from entering any pub in Middleton for the next five years.
James Briggs (DOB 26/08/80) of Birch Avenue, Middleton, was given the ABSO on Wednesday 1 March 2006 at Rochdale Magistrates court.
The conditions of the ASBO prevent him from entering any pub or purchasing/attempting to purchase alcohol from any public house within the boundaries of Middleton.
The ASBO also states that he is not allowed to consume alcohol in any public place or loiter outside any pub in the Middleton area, extending to the Chadderton and Royton borders. Briggs is also prohibited from engaging in anti-social behaviour in Middleton and the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale.
