13-year old boy seriously injured - Middleton Shopping Centre

Detectives in Rochdale are appealing for witnesses following an incident in which a 13 year-old boy was seriously injured in the Middleton Shopping Centre on Limetrees Road in Middleton.
At approximately 6.30pm on Thursday 23 February 2006 it is believed that the boy fell from one of the upper floors of the centre to the ground floor.
An ambulance was called and the boy was taken to Booth Hall Hospital and was then transferred to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. His injuries are extensive but are not thought to be life-threatening at this stage.
The Health and Safety Executive and Greater Manchester Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
