HGV hits railway bridge on Milkstone Road
A HGV collided with the railway bridge on Milkstone Road on Friday night (6 January).
The lorry attempted to pass under the bridge, which specifies a height limit of 12'6".
The road was blocked off for around 45 minutes.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called at 18.54 to reports that a HGV had hit a railway bridge. Parts of the vehicle were in the road but the driver wasn't injured."
Fire services were also in attendance.
