Fire in derelict portacabin

A fire in a derelict portacabin at a builder’s yard on Bowness Road in Middleton was put out by firefighters on Wednesday (10 October).
Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and were on the scene for around 50 minutes.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101 and quoting the reference number 2031 of 10/10/16, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
