78-year-old woman injured in Castleton

A 78-year-old woman suffered facial and leg injuries in a road traffic collision in Castleton this morning (1 July).
Paramedics arrived on scene on the junction of Croydon Avenue and Manchester Road shortly before 10.30am after reports that she was involved in the collision with a Mercedes C270 car.
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that she was taken to hospital but that her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
