Union J set to play Oldham this weekend

One of the UK’s biggest boy bands are set to take the stage in Oldham this weekend.

Union J are to headline a special one-off show at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on Sunday afternoon, 25 October.

Joining former X Factor contestants Josh, JJ., Jaymi and George on the bill with special guest performances, are five of the UK and US top and upcoming talent Jagmac, Talia Storm, Harvey Cantwell, Tiger Heart and Henry Gallagher.

Union J were formed after auditioning for The X Factor in 2012, and have since gone on to score four Top Ten singles, and 2 huge-selling albums. In December, the band achieved their biggest single hit to date with “You Got It All” peaking at No2. The boys supported The Vamps on their Arena Tour earlier this year, playing dates across the UK.

Supporting Union J on the one-night-only show are hugely talented girl band Tiger Heart who’ve recently performed at the huge Blackpool Illuminations switch-on show.

Also sharing the bill are Britain’s Got Talent’s Henry Gallagher, who captured the hearts and the votes of the British public on the show last year by singing his self-penned love song about his mystery crush.

Scottish singer Talia Storm has been tipped as one of the ‘10 Acts to watch in 2015’. Her infectious R ‘n’ B debut single ‘Social Security’ was released in 2015.

Also performing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall are Jagmac – four brothers and two sisters from Baltimore, US. Comparisons have been made to artists as diverse as Black Eyed Peas and The Jackson 5. The current single ‘Get Your Groove Back’ is a retro infused funk track, with a cool video to match.

Sixteen-year-old Harvey Cantwell has already established himself as a performer and presenter on CBBC’s Friday download. Harvey set up his YouTube channel in 2013 which already has over 50,000 followers. He later signed to Universal and London Records and released a single ‘Thank You’ last year. He has a massive half a million Facebook followers
