Zen Internet awarded ‘Services Company of the Year’ at UK IT Industry Awards
Date published: 16 December 2015
Zen Internet won the BCS and Computing UK IT Industry Award for ‘Services Company of the Year’ at a glittering ceremony held in London on 19 November.
Presented by the BCS, the Charted Institute for IT, the awards are a platform for IT professionals to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence across the industry.
Zen had to demonstrate the delivery of first-class IT services and also high levels of customer satisfaction for which they are already renowned.
Having grown from a pioneering ISP 20 years ago, today Zen is a multi-award-winning company that provides a full range of data, voice and cloud services to business and residential customers across the UK, giving them the capabilities they need to communicate, collaborate and thrive in a highly connected world.
Zen has remained firmly focussed on providing superb customer service but their commitment to investing retained profits back into the business to expand their core network infrastructure and their voice and cloud offerings has ensured they continue to deliver high-quality services across the UK.
In October 2014, Zen made the significant decision to restructure the 400-strong business into customer facing divisions. This structure supports the needs of each customer group in an evolving technology landscape. It’s through this reorganisation that Zen has been able to excel in each of the judge’s four criteria; professionalism in serving customers, excellence in delivery, a spirit of technological innovation and demonstrable success.
"The UK IT Industry Awards are rigorously judged by a panel of experts" said Stuart Sumner, Editor of Computing, "which truly celebrate professionalism and innovation in IT today. Every winner represents the very best of the IT profession."
Martin O’Donnell, Managing Director of Zen’s Corporate and Mid-Market Division, said: “We are delighted to have won this prestigious award. For us, the award pays testament to the commitment of everyone here at Zen, it’s our people that make us unique.”
Paul Fletcher, Group Chief Executive Officer of the BCS, said: "This year the calibre of applications was outstanding, but the winners stood out as exceptional and inspiring, and they should be proud of their success."
