Urbansoul Design to work on Rochdale Film Festival

Date published: 15 October 2004

Urbansoul Design are delighted to announce that they will be playing a key role in next year’s inaugural Rochdale Film Festival ‘NORTH’.

The Rochdale based business will be responsible for event marketing, using their creative expertise in producing the festival’s brand image, advertising and other marketing material.

To be held in September 2005, the Film Festival is being organised by Rochdale’s Creative Industries Network, and is hoping to attract regional film makers to display their recent works as well as giving people the opportunity to see established films from other UK and European film festivals – most notably works shown at the Commonwealth Film Festival.

Urbansoul Design have made giant strides having only started trading in January of this year. They saw early success with the award of the Rochdale Excellence in Cities Contract that helps to raise achievement levels of pupils within Rochdale Borough schools. Other projects include an exclusive fashions shopping website and corporate identity design and marketing support for many local start-up businesses.

Dave Williams, Creative Director at Urbansoul Design, is delighted with the progress made in the first eight months of trading, and is keen to push the business as far as possible: “We are happy with the way things have gone and are really pleased to be involved in Rochdale’s ‘NORTH’ film festival, which should really give our local profile a boost”.

Dave is a keen networker, and is delighted with his first four months as a member of North Manchester Chamber: “We have already attended six or seven events and are finding that the networking opportunities are proving extremely useful. Our portfolio of contacts is expanding all the time and we are in discussions with a number of businesses that we have met at networking events with regards to imminent and future ways that we can work together.”

Urbansoul Design is looking to attract sponsorship for next year’s film festival and welcome any enquiries on 01706 852724.
