The Peacock Room - officially the finest restaurant in Rochdale

Date published: 13 October 2015

The Peacock Room in Rochdale has retained its two AA rosettes in the latest edition of The Restaurant and Pub Guide, making it the top-rated fine dining establishment in the area.

The art-deco inspired restaurant, based at Crimble Hall, is the only venue in the location to retain its two rosettes. The Peacock Room also boasts a Michelin Knife and Fork award, making it one of the finest places to eat in Greater Manchester.

Using the finest seasonal ingredients and produce available, The Peacock Room offers a modern British menu in decadent, glamorous surroundings.

Robert Walker, Executive Chef from The Deckers Group, which owns and operates The Peacock Room, commented: "We are extremely happy to have retained our two AA rosettes, and we are proud to now be the highest rated restaurant in the area. The rosettes are an acknowledgement of all the hard work that goes into the venue by our talented chefs and front of house teams.”

"The Peacock Room really is one of the jewels in our crown, and its lavish and opulent interior is loved by so many people in the Greater Manchester area."

The Peacock Room uses beef from its own butchery in Rochdale, which is prepared specially to the chef's high standards using the highest quality produce. To tempt diners, The Peacock Room launches its autumn menu next week which will feature innovative, delicious dishes featuring a variety of seasonal ingredients. Additionally, the new menu will include a premium beef section so steak lovers can take advantage of the beef from the local butchery, and have more flexibility when designing their own bespoke steak dish.
