With his new business MH4 Drains, the Rochdale entrepreneur aims to inspire complete confidence in his customers.

"That means offering an all-round service of guaranteed work covering every aspect of drain work including drain cleaning, clearing, inspection and repair," says Mark.

After 15 years in the drainage business, Mark hopes his new venture will give him a better lifestyle financially and more time with his family: "NES has given me the confidence to go ahead and make a start, instead of just talking about it! The programme gets you off on the right footing and looks at all the issues - legal, tax, insurance and marketing."

Mark is targeting homes and businesses in the North West and has already done some test trading. He adds: "I hope to buy another van and employ a second engineer in the next 6 months. Most importantly, I’ll continue to provide a quality service with up to date equipment at a reasonable price."
