Yearsley Group employees have taken on the arduous Yorkshire three peaks challenge in aid of four National Charities, Cancer Research, Parkinson’s UK, British Heart Foundation and Help for Heroes.
The big charity push celebrates Yearsley Group’s 60 years in business with the company planning to raise £60,000 by the end of 2015.
The 24 mile trek in the Yorkshire Dales National Park takes in the summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, a total climb of 5200 feet. 15 staff from several Yearsley depots faced the arduous climb, including directors Harry Yearsley and Jonathan Baker. All groups finished well within the 12 hour target time with the fastest group finishinh in 7 hours 58 minutes.
Harry Yearsley commented: "This year the team at Yearsley Group has pulled out all the stops with an amazing range of fundraising feats to help us reach our £60,000 target. From the three peaks challenge, to tough mudder in September, to sponsored slims and bake sales, the enthusiasm of the company has already seen us raise almost £42,000 for charity, well on our way to the £60k target by the end of the year."
