Digital communications chain O2 Rochdale is one of the sponsors of this summer’s Rochdale Feel Good Festival.
The O2 store will be an official festival partner for the first time, promoting the event to their customers across the region and having a presence at the festival itself on the 4 and 5 September. The deal will also see O2 Rochdale’s logo displayed on festival marketing. They’ll be helping festival goers to stay connected and get on line with a special exclusive in store deal available from 9am to 4pm on both days of the event.
Jonathan Beckett, Managing Director of O2 Rochdale said: “It’s an honour to sponsor the festival, especially as we have a store in the town centre. O2 like to support local initiatives, especially those such as this that bring real enjoyment to the communities in which we operate. There’s already a buzz about the town … we’re looking forward to September.”
Councillor Janet Emsley, Cabinet Member for Culture, Health and Tourism at Rochdale Borough Council said: “O2 will help us connect with their thousands of customers across Rochdale and Tameside. Local investment and support from our partners helps the council deliver a fantastic free event, and an opportunity for thousands of families to come and enjoy performances that will appeal to young and old alike.”
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September, for its eighth year, for another showcase of entertainment, food and culture.
There will be live music across indoor venues, a main stage sponsored by The Flying Horse Hotel and Stage Two - a second outdoor stage showcasing local talent.
Music acts on the main stage line up include The South, Toploader, Kirsty Almeida, ska band The Uplifters, Shakedown Stockholm, The Renegade Girls, and Rochdale’s own alternative rock band The Hotspur Press.
The summer festival is funded by Rochdale Borough Council with sponsorship from local businesses including Hopwood Hall College, The Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale Football Club, O2 Rochdale, Balfour Beatty Living, Link4Life and The Royal Toby.
