Date published: 09 June 2004
Rochdale based Glass Eye Productions are getting ready to host their 1st Birthday Party celebrating their 1st year as a company on Wednesday June 23 from 7.30 onwards at their Moss Mill (New York style) Studio. Preparations are well on the way, with special support from Urcom and Flux Magazine, as part of Flux Magazine’s 7 Events Festival, all's set for a good night.
Spinning a specially crafted set to accompany Glass Eye's visuals will be DJ's Alix Walker from Flux, and Xander Cook (Flux/Phush). Eddie Robson will be remixing promos and films, from the darkest depths of his video collection, whilst James Green who has worked alongside the likes of Basement Jaxx and Plump DJ's will be giving us a dose of visuals to keep the party in full flow!
Glass Eye Productions was set-up by Danny Lomax and Eddie Robson through the NES scheme at Manchester Business School, the Youth Business Trust and is supported through Business Link North Manchester. In their first year they produced Velvet Shores first music promo which was showcased at Manchester’s Night and Day Cafe as part of their official UK tour. They are currently producing a music promo for the Seven Sisters, with more to come in the next months, and are currently in the process of developing TV and film projects around the UK.
Flux Magazine is a bi-monthly Manchester based specialist arts and fashion magazine, supporting the arts in the Northwest. Past projects include 'We go Round and Round in the Night and are Consumed by Fire' which took place in 2003 as part of the transatlantic express event in NYC.
Urcom supports and develops people, communities and organisations in the public, voluntary, faith and private sectors within the UK and other countries.
