Celebrity chef Andrew Nutter joined in the celebrations when staff from BMI Highfield Hospital held a special evening to mark a number of long-service awards.
Staff from the hospital, on Manchester Road, had notched up over 200 years of joint service and were marking the achievement with a meal at Nutters Restaurant followed by the presentation of long-service pins.
When Andrew realised what was happening he decided to join in the celebrations.
Health and Safety Officer, Phil Grantham, who with 36 years under his belt was the longest serving member of staff at the event, said: “He really did get into the spirit of things and made a real fuss of us. It all added to the occasion and made for a great day out.”
