Chamber Business Connections member Rochdale Electro Mechanical Services are celebrating winning a new maintenance contract with the world’s largest waste management firm ‘SITA’.

R.E.M. Services have only been established for three years but have seen staff expand from one to seventeen over that period while turnover has grown impressively too, having doubled between years one and three of trading.

The maintenance contract with SITA involves the servicing of pumps, generators and landfill gas systems – a key area of work for R.E.M. Services.

Martin Humphreys, Director of R.E.M Services is delighted that the firm have secured the new contract:

“Being awarded this new contract is a huge boost ahead of the next financial year. Our relationship with SITA is excellent, evidenced by the continuing and expanding work that they are entrusting us with. We pride ourselves in delivering services on-time and tailored to the needs of our customers, and this new contract proves that we are on the right track.”

R.E.M Services are continuing to expand and are happy to quote for work overseas. Possible work in China is currently being negotiated.

R.E.M. Services have worked closely with Business Link North Manchester in recent months which has helped them to achieve their ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. They are also working towards their Investors In People accreditation which they hope to receive in the next few weeks. BLNM have also assisted the firm with funding towards their new website and marketing brochures.
