Wireless Partnership Offers Flexible Access

Local IT specialists Flexsys (UK) Limited have enabled The Royal Toby Hotel in Castleton to become one of the first hotels in the area to offer wireless High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) for the benefit of its guests.
The HSIA service covers the hotel's banqueting and conference facility – the sumptuously appointed Rhyddings Suite - as well as individually to each of the guest bedrooms. It is aimed primarily at the business guest who needs to keep in touch with the office, send and receive email or research information about customers, suppliers or competitors over the internet ready for that vital meeting!
The service eliminates all of the problems traditionally associated with Internet access from hotels: very slow dial-up connections, frequent disconnections, lengthy telephone calls (and therefore hefty telephone charges). Furthermore, because the service is up to 20 times faster than traditional dial-up access, less time is wasted waiting for pages to display or files to download, making the guest's stay in the hotel a more enjoyable experience.
Connection to the service is simplicity itself, with no additional software required on the guest's computer and no requirement to change any of the system settings. Gerry Allan of Flexsys comments: "This was one of the primary considerations when designing the system. Hotel staff in general have neither the time nor the experience to get involved in solving problems with a guest's laptop. Any system deployed in a hotel should not burden the hotel staff with extra work".
Commenting on this exciting development Max Brierley, Managing Director of the Deckers Group which owns the hotel, said: "We re delighted to offer this exciting new service to our guests. Flexsys have provided us with a comprehensive package which is easy for both guests and staff to use".
