Rochdale Businesses can ‘Reach for the Stars’

Date published: 04 March 2004

Celebrating the Achievements of Businesses in Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Wigan.

The North Manchester Business Awards are the biggest Awards of their kind, which recognise the continuing and outstanding achievements of local businesses and business people.

The first ever North Manchester Business Awards are backed by Business Link North Manchester in partnership with Chamber Business Connections, The Royal Bank of Scotland, NatWest and North Manchester Enterprises Group.

Any business operating within one of the five towns of Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Wigan is eligible to enter regardless of its size and sector. The ten awards are grouped in three categories:

  • General Business Awards
  • Women’s Enterprise
  • Ethnic Businesses

The Awards will be judged by a distinguished panel of people all of whom have strong links with the business community of North Manchester. Judging will take place after the 31 March deadline for entries.

The finalists will receive their Awards at a glittering black-tie dinner at The Reebok Stadium before an audience of business leaders and entrepreneurs. With cash prizes totalling £32,000 and prestigious trophies this provides a major showcase for the brightest and best of our local businesses.

Success in any of the ten categories could have major benefits to yourself and your business, as well as to the people who will recognise your success and seek to emulate your achievements. By entering these Awards you will have the opportunity to:

  • be publicly recognised for your achievements and your business success
  • win cash prizes to further invest in the business
  • meet many other successful entrepreneurs

Entry is very easy. All you have to do is tell the judges in no more than 1,000 words what makes you and your business an outstanding success; and provide some supporting information to demonstrate your achievements.
