Domino's Pizza has announced a search for 15 new franchisees in the North West. With 78% of the region's population living in an area where a Domino's Pizza cannot be delivered, there has never been a better opportunity for would-be entrepreneurs to make lots of money using a tried and tested, quality product with national advertising behind it. Domino's expansion plans will see the company's presence in the North West increase by 60%.
The company launched its search for talented local business people at the Chamber Business Connections' inaugural 'Franchising Seminar'. Over 20 people gathered at Commerce House to hear presentations by the British Franchise Association, Bank of Scotland and Domino's Pizza.
Simon Wise, Deputy Director of the British Franchise Association commented, "The franchising sector in the North West has doubled in size since 2001 and as the UK's leading franchisers, including Domino's Pizza, announce further expansion plans it is clear that the industry is going from strength to strength. Domino's has an excellent track record as a dynamic and responsible franchiser and its franchisee support, training and shadowing is exemplary."
Though Domino's has over 300 stores in the UK and Ireland, there is still considerable potential for growth. Andy Cooke, Franchise Sales Manager at Domino's Pizza says, "It's a very exciting time for Domino's and pizza home delivery generally. The North West is a key market for expansion for Domino's - the majority of the region's population live in a 'pizza deprivation zone'. Domino's is looking to attract good local business people who are not afraid to work hard, with the ability to motivate themselves and their team-members. And with each store creating around 25 -30 new jobs there are considerable added benefits for the local economy."
