Did you know that 90% of all new franchisees in the UK claim to be profitable? This is compared to a fifth of all stand alone start-ups which cease trading within 12 months. Many would-be entrepreneurs have embraced franchising, seizing the opportunity to be their own boss and make money. Franchising enables business people to use a tried and tested product and build on an established brand that often has national advertising behind it. In the North West alone franchising is currently raking in £1.35bn.
