KMI give Whittaker Moss a boost!
Water contractors KMI Plus have given £375 to local priary school Whittaker Moss, thanks to their safe site working initiative. Once the civil engineers hit their targets of hours worked without an accident they accrue money which they can donate to a local cause.
Workers at the United Utilites Clay Lane water treatment works reached in excess of 70,000 hours recently and split the £750 accrued between local primaries Whittaker Moss and Bamford Academy.
KMI Senior Site Manager Nigel Coates said: "The site team have worked very hard to complete this project without an accident, we are not done yet but I have no doubt that their flawless record will continue to the end of the works."
KMI plus work as part of a framework alliance for United Utilties and help to deliver work on the water and waste water network throughout the North West.
