Festive Tax Tip: Asset protection
Do you have a valuable asset within your company which could be at risk from creditors if the trading activities resulted in financial difficulty?
In many cases, planning can be undertaken to ensure that any valuable assets, such as property, are separated from trading activities to ensure the assets are ring fenced and protected from creditors. The planning could be as simple as moving the asset into a separate company or even a pension scheme.
