Recruitment Solutions wins top business award

Date published: 08 November 2012

Recruitment Solutions won the Business of the Year award for companies with a turnover of under £1 million at the Rochdale Business Awards.

The Rochdale company, based on Church Stile delivers a full range of financial and accountancy services to borough businesses. We spoke to founder Karen Reynolds who is the Senior Finance Recruitment with the company. She told us that although the company operated in a very crowded market, she was “elated and proud” for her organisation to have been recognised in this way and that this reflected on the hard work and skills-base of the all those who work for the company.

Shrugging off the difficulties of working within a testing economic climate, Karen said: “We have seen recessions before. Operating conditions were more exacting 20 years ago and our experience over many years has helped us not only to adapt to changing conditions but to continue to grow and thrive.”

She continued: “Rochdale has had a lot of bed press in recent times and we don’t always do ourselves a lot of favours. We need to get a grip on ourselves. There are many good things happening across the borough and sometimes that doesn’t get the attention and publicity it deserves. We were not affected by the riots and there is a genuine desire to work together to resolve issues.”

The company prides itself on its face-to-face client contact and the building up of trust, understanding and a sound knowledge of their clients’ businesses. They prefer to visit clients on-site to gain assess their requirements and to give a comprehensive insight into their business.

On the recruitment side of their business, Recruitment Solutions carries out full pre-interview checks of potential staff as well as reference checking and suitability and eligibility profiling.
