The opportunities offered by trading with the Eurozone were highlighted at an event staged by Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.
The seminar entitled “Trading With Confidence In Europe: Why You Should And How To Avoid The Risks”, featured a selection of high profile speakers, who are all experts on the European export market.
Dr Brian Sloan, Chief Economist at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, who was one of the speakers at the event, said: “The event highlighted the opportunities for businesses in the Eurozone. It also aimed to reduce exposure to some of the uncertainty of trading in the Eurozone using a range of alternative finance products.
“We held the event because we were concerned that problems with the Euro were putting off potential exporters. Europe remains the North West’s most important export market, taking over 50% of the region’s exports, so we cannot afford to ignore it.”
The other speakers were Mélina Moussali, Global Head of Dealing at Currencies Direct, and Mark Lindsay, Head of Sales, Bibby Financial Services.
The event took place at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. Currencies Direct, which is based in Spinningfields, Manchester, was the headline sponsor. Hurst, Enterprise Europe Network and 4th Wall Media acting as associate sponsors.
